What’s not included

If you go on Twitter and search for National Parks lists, you will find many lists that contain many more entries than the 54 shown above. What causes the discrepancy?

These are only the parks and only one primary account for each. This list does not include:

• Other entities managed by the National Park Service (NPS), such as National Memorials, National Seashores, National Historic Sites, and so on
• Secondary accounts of parks, such as @SmokiesRoadsNPS
• Accounts that cover more than one park such as @NatlParkService or @ClimateNPS
• Accounts operated by parties not affiliated with the NPS or where the affiliation is unclear.
